Founder and CEO of Reflexis Systems, Inc. receives award from the Asian American Business Development Center, Inc. for building a successful business and contributions to his community
DEDHAM, Mass., July 22, 2014: Prashanth Palakurthi, founder and CEO of Reflexis Systems, Inc., has been named one of 50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business by the Asian American Business Development Center. The award, which was presented during the 13th annual awards dinner gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York, recognizes outstanding leaders who have built a successful business and distinguished themselves in their community. The Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award honors a wide array of Asian ethnicities, including Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
Palakurthi founded Reflexis in 2001 and with his team of co-founders pioneered the category of Retail Execution Management solutions that enable companies to consistently execute their labor operations and customer engagement strategies. From the initial flagship Task Management solution, Reflexis now offers an integrated platform of real-time execution and workforce management solutions for retailers, Quick Serve Restaurant chains, government organizations, hospitality, and other industries. The company is based in Dedham, MA (near Boston) and has offices in London, Kennesaw, GA, and Pune, India. Reflexis now has more than 200 customers, including some of the biggest and best-known companies in the world.
Prior to founding Reflexis, Palakurthi advised enterprises in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and the United States on how to align their business and IT strategies. He is a double graduate with Masters in Mathematics and Management Studies from the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani. He also serves as an advisor to the Board of the Giving Back Foundation, is involved in autism research, and is a frequent contributor to educational programs at his university.
