Steve Cheatham has over 20 years of experience in Retail. Before joining Reflexis, he was the Director of Retail Workforce Planning at Academy Sports + Outdoors, and prior to that, the VP of Staffing and Productivity for Stage Stores, where he was responsible for store payroll, workforce management, and e-commerce fulfillment. Previous to Stage Stores, he was the Manager of Store Staffing and Reporting at Kohl’s Department Stores. He has also held finance leadership positions at other major retail chains. Steve holds an MBA from the School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Sara has over 25 years in Retail and Wholesale Sales & Operations. Prior to her current role, Sara was Director of Multi-Channel Operations at Vera Bradley; which included Project Management, Operations Support, and also Strategic Leadership for the Annual Outlet Sale. The event is attended by over 60,000 customers annually.
Sara has provided leadership for Managers and Field Sales teams; and collaborated across departments on Projects, Store Communication, Operations, Store Management, and Store Marketing. Some of her key projects at Vera Bradley included business ownership for their SAP Fashion Management Solution roll out (the first retailer in North America), the full Reflexis Store Operations and Workforce Management suites, multiple POS upgrades, and countless Standard Operating Procedures.
Sara also has prior Retail field leadership experience as Channel Director, District Manager, Area Manager, and Store Manager at Vera Bradley, Bath & Body Works, The Limited, and L Brands. She started her career in grocery and restaurant management. Sara brings a large scope of understanding of what it takes to prioritize, implement, and sustain success in a wide variety of retail business models and volume types.
Prior to his current position at Reflexis, Kevin worked at Hannaford Bros. Co. (part of the Delhaize Group) for more than 35 years. He spent more than 20 years in Retail Management & Operations positions including Store Manager, Training Manager, Store Opening Coordinator, and Regional Manager of Training Specialists, with the last 13 years in IT as Director of Retail Automation. Kevin was responsible for retail technology for all 167 Hannaford Supermarkets in five New England states, 31 independently owned supermarkets, and 107 Sweetbay Supermarkets in Florida. He has also spoken and presented at supermarket and retail industry forums including FMI Marketechnics, RIS News Retail Executive Conferences, MIT Sloan Cross Industry Conference, and AMR Webcasts. He is an expert in Retail Wireless Applications, Workforce Optimization, Point of Sale, Consumer Demand Replenishment, and Store Execution Management.
Prior to joining Reflexis, Kevin spent 12 years in Retail Store Operations at Galyan’s Trading Company and Dick’s Sporting Goods. During his time at Galyan’s Kevin was in charge of penetrating markets in Columbus, Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Boston. As a Corporate Operations Manager, Kevin was responsible for payroll analysis, policy, and other core operations functions. Kevin brings this breadth of knowledge and experience to our customers, ensuring that they have the right solutions at the right time.
Pam Beitia is Senior Director Retail Solutions at Reflexis. She has a combined retail experience of 25 years. Pam spent more than 18 years at Albertsons (SuperValu) focusing on retail operations and communications, holding positions such as Store Retail Integrity Coordinator, Training Coordinator, Area Manager of Retail Integrity, Front-End Operations Senior Analyst, and Communication & Execution Senior Manager. At Albertsons, she led a project team for the design, implementation, and training of Task Management, implementing it at 2,000 stores and 4 banners (Albertsons, ACME, Jewel-Osco, and Shaw’s). She was also responsible for controlling expenses, scheduling special teams for new store openings, price maintenance, and shelf labels projects. On the HR side, she managed the hiring, training, and labor for store team leads.
Walter has been in the retail industry for 25 years. During that time, he has primarily been in Field Store Operations at leading retail organizations including Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Gap and most recently with Ann Taylor. He has worked at all levels in the retail field and truly has a pulse on the needs of the field.
He started his career out of college working for Wal-Mart and worked for them in several capacities including Store Director of one of the first Super Center Concept Stores in South Carolina. From there he moved to K-Mart as a District Manager for the Jacksonville, Florida region, one of the largest volume markets in the company. After his time with K-Mart, he went to work for Dick’s Sporting Goods as a District Manager in the Northeast. He then moved into specialty apparel retail with Gap where he was in charge of one of the largest and most complex markets in the company, the Florida and Puerto Rico Market. Prior to joining Reflexis, he worked for Ann Taylor and Loft as a District Manager in Florida and Puerto Rico.
Walter has been part of many operational work streams to help the stores operate more efficiently, simplify processes, train and develop store leaders, and also has a proven track record of delivering consistently at high-levels with responsibility for both, top line revenue and bottom line profit.
Abbey is a Associate Director of Implementation Services and Retail Consultancy at Reflexis with more than 12 years of industry experience in specialty retail, operations, and internal communications.
As a former Reflexis user, Abbey implemented Reflexis store operations solutions and led international communications at Express in Columbus, Ohio. Previous to that, she managed international retail communications at Payless Shoe Source, developing communication strategies and supporting executive retail communication.
Abbey has a strong focus on communication and operations metrics and has developed meaningful business metrics. Leveraging her experience and industry knowledge, Abbey guides clients to use effective change management strategies to simplify operations for stores and adopt Reflexis solutions, empowering field management to lead by exception and promote the ability for corporate leaders to make data-driven business decisions.
Abbey also coaches client teams on best practices so that they achieve the desired return on their investment.
Brandon Coe has over 10 years of retail experience. He started his career at Abercrombie and Fitch, where he held Store Manager positions for over 6 years. He then moved to Vera Bradley as a Retail Operations and Workforce Management Specialist. In this position, Brandon drove continuous improvement of scheduling effectiveness, sales, and execution efficiency. He also helped design Vera Bradley’s omni-channel operations. Brandon holds a Bachelors of Science from Ball State University.
Bill has 10 years’ experience in finance and accounting. He comes to Reflexis having spent the last 3 years with Staples conducting research and analysis on retail site locations. During his tenure there he helped to develop new performance prediction models giving executive management a longer-term view of store results. He brings top-level finance and analytical skills to Reflexis to help maintain and update the ROI models.
Bill holds a BS and an MBA from Endicott College as well as a Masters in Finance from Bentley University.
Prior to working at Reflexis, Carlos worked for five years in IT project management for Grupo Elektra and their internal bank, Banco Azteca, developing and implementing accounting applications, store operations control, risk management, and real-time transactions monitoring. He also worked as a consultant for business Intelligence applications for several other retailers in Mexico and Latin America as part of the IMPRA Consultores in Mexico.
He is currently involved in implementations of Reflexis Task Manager™, Reflexis StoreWalk®, and Reflexis KPI Activator™, and also manages projects for the Reflexis Workforce Manager™ and Reflexis Time & Attendance™ solutions for clients in Mexico, Colombia, and Chile.
Kathy has over 28 years of experience in retail, working in stores, in the field, and in HO in a variety of roles in top tier European retailers. Her first-hand experience of retail execution issues & expertise in business/change management processes has improved our product’s fitness to European markets significantly. She leads all our Task Manager deployments by understanding our customers’ business issues and subsequent requirements, re-engineering communication processes and assisting in the realisation of system benefits. Kathy has an MBA from the Open University.
Tor has over 14 years’ experience working with the John Lewis Partnership, one of the best known and loved brands in the UK. Working with this unique co-owned business, he started in stores as part of the graduate management program. He has since held several strategy and operations positions across the Waitrose head office (the £6 Billion supermarket chain, a banner of the John Lewis Partnership). He was part of the leadership team responsible for the development of the overall Waitrose Operating Model. He also led the Operational Efficiency team, the Waitrose Productivity team, the Continuous Improvement team, and the team responsible for developing and building the strategic road map for in-store technology.
Tor holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Edinburgh, and an International Baccalaureate degree from ACS in Athens, Greece.
Sue Acklam has over 16 years experience in the retail industry. She started off as a Product Manager at Checkpoint Systems implementing Electronic Article Surveillance solutions as well as providing training to the retail clientele. In 2006, Sue started working for Europe’s leading DIY retailer – B&Q in their Profit Protection, Commercial and Store Operations teams designing, communicating and implementing stock-loss-reduction initiatives in stores.
Kate started her career as a Management Trainee with Safeway plc in the UK. Upon successful completion, she became a Dry Goods Manager for a store on the South coast of England before she moved to the high street working in children’s wear and equipment. She then spent over 6 years at Arcadia Group, 4 of which were spent as a Store Manager for the women’s clothing brand, Wallis. She managed stores in Guildford, Surrey and also Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey. A few years later she became a Recruitment and Training Manager for Topshop (also part of Arcadia). As a member of the store management team there, she was responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the store, deploying and managing team members on a daily basis, as well as ensuring that company training standards were met.
Kate is an implementation specialist and has worked with various clients from different verticals. Her largest rollout was across 49 countries in EMEA. She is a certified Prince2 Practitioner and also has an APM Certificate in Project Management.
Dave has over 15 years experience in the retail sector. Beginning his career with fashion chain ‘Next’, Dave held a number of commercial and operational positions across stores in the South East of England and the West End of London.
After graduating from University College London (Geography, BA Hons), Dave joined the graduate scheme at Homebase – the DIY and Home Improvement brand of Home Retail Group. Homebase has over 300 large format stores, annual sales of c£1.75bn and is regarded as the UK’s leading Garden, Decorating and Home Improvement retailer.
After spending 3 years as a Store Manager, Dave then joined the Retail Operations team in Head Office. During this period he held both project management and operational roles within the Retail function often acting as they key business partner between Retail and marketing/commercial functions. Before leaving Homebase to join Reflexis, Dave was responsible for the compilation, budgeting and sign off of the overall retail workload and activity plan for all stores.
